Will I have to pay or go to jail for running away from the police?

Richard B. Jacobson
Answered by attorney Richard B. Jacobson (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Richard B. Jacobson Associates, LLC
Fleeing to avoid arrest is an offence. What the penalty would be (fine or jail or probation or some combination) depends on the specific facts of the case. Sometimes you can make a deal by pleading No Contest to the underlying offence in return for the prosecutor dropping the fleeing charge. But that depends on many facts about which I know nothing. Feel free to call my office for more information. Good Luck.

What can I do now if I had got a reckless DUI about 2 years ago and never went to court?

I am suspicious. I would have someone check the court where the dui occurred to see if anything else is pending.

How good of a chance do I have of getting this DUI charge reduced?

None of the items you listed would impact the reduction of DUI charge. IF I am pleasant after I drink and drive, the DUI charge is not dropped.
