Our practice focuses upon representation in the following areas: Social Security Disability, VA Disability Benefits, Estate Planning, Inheritance, Probate, Guardianship and Supplemental Security Income law. The firm handles litigation in these areas in the state and federal court systems.

At Heard & Smith, L.L.P., we believe that legal services should be accessible and affordable. All fees are quoted in advance and details regarding our fees are available on this website. For your convenience, our firm accepts all major credit cards.

The San Antonio offices are conveniently located near the San Antonio International Airport. The office is easily accessible from any part of San Antonio. We are only five minutes from the airport, and offer free parking. The firm's offices are fully accessible to the handicapped.

I can't give them a poor rating, because they really didn't do much. However, when I decided to switch to a lawyer closer to home, I asked them for a letter stating they were no longer representing me. Seven days after I asked for the letter, someone from Heard & Smith called to try to convince me to stay. They had not even started my letter. I felt they were negligent.

I feel that they lack concern for their clients. I only talked to an attorney once before my hearing. They had been employed by me for 7 months.

Communication by phone and e-mail. I sent initial evaluations from my healthcare providers and it appears I am to continue to provide information. I do not know if they have contacted my healthcare providers. All contacts were sent to H and S.

I think that I should have gotten a lawyer in my own city instead of so far away and I think they should have declined me for the same reason. I think if we were in the same city, we could connect at least once before hearing or I may have even realized that it would be better to speak for myself earlier rather then after hearing.
