Welcome to the Heard & Smith, L.L.P. website. Our firm specializes in the needs of the elderly and the disabled. Our practice focuses upon representation in the following areas: Social Security Disability, VA Disability Benefits, Estate Planning, Inheritance, Probate, Guardianship and Supplemental Security Income law. The firm handles litigation in these areas in the state and federal court systems.

At Heard & Smith, L.L.P., we believe that legal services should be accessible and affordable. All fees are quoted in advance and details regarding our fees are available on this website. For your convenience, our firm accepts all major credit cards.

The San Antonio offices are conveniently located near the San Antonio International Airport. The office is easily accessible from any part of San Antonio. We are only five minutes from the airport, and offer free parking. The firm's offices are fully accessible to the handicapped.

The client services section have always been prompt and courteous when I have to call them with updated material. They also are very quick to return calls. You always speak with a live person (very important to me). The process of paperwork has been made so easy. They e-mailed me forms with things they would need for interview, this allowed me to have all items needed without any delays. This made it a stress free interview.

I won my case with them, and the 25% legal fee was suppose to be taken out of my Social Security Disability Check before I received it. I got my check and a year later, I get a notice that I owe them $2,000 because their independent lawyer that represented me did not get their fee. This is a lawyers office, aren't they suppose to know how to do their paperwork? I used the money to pay back bills that accumulated from being disabled and thought the fee was already paid. Not fair!!
