After graduating law school in 1989, I began my career as a lawyer working for the Social Security Administration in its Office of the General Counsel. I did my job well and learned volumes about the workings of Social Security Administration, however, I went to law school to help people who could not help themselves – the poor, the disadvantaged, those at the end of their rope. I left the Social Security Administration and moved to Iowa, where I have been representing disability claimants since 1996. I was appointed to the Board of Directors of NOSSCR–the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives–from 2010 – present.
Restoring Hope One by One. That is my goal in representing Social Security disability claimants here in Iowa. I pride myself on providing close, personal attention to all my clients at all stages of the administrative process. I take the time necessary to gather all the facts, assemble all the medical records, and carefully analyze your case. I will help you prepare for your hearing so you that can relax and give your best testimony. I won’t give up on your case. If necessary, I will pursue your appeal all the way to federal court.

Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer. From beginning to end Mr. Tripp was always quick to respond to help answer any questions I had. Even if it was something simple that I just needed to understand better. No problem, he walked me through it. His colleagues are just as amazing as he is. Through the entirety of my case he was always kind to me, polite, and he genuinely cared for my well-being. I felt very relieved once I had hired him to represent me. He is very knowledgeable and professional.
Timothy Tripp helped me through the process of applying and being granted permanent disability. He made certain that I was prepared and informed all the way through. He has always been available to answer any/all questions that I have had through the process. I am fortunate to have had his representation.
Helped me through disability process and was able to obtain disability on first try without a hearing.Helped me through process. Since then has communicated with me whenever I need questions answered and is prompt in responses. Is compassionate, very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Very much recommend.
I was compelled to write a review for Tim Tripp and I took a few moments to read the prior reviews for inspiration. I read through the good, the bad and the ugly and I have to say, I agree with the negative reviews as well as the positive. For the negative reviews, I must admit they made me really think about my own experience. Yes, Tim Tripp is blunt but he is honest. He is reliable, curt and has vast knowledge of the social security system. He may come off as rude but it is because he is the most straightforward person you will come across. Keep in mind, you are not hiring him to be your best friend, you’re hiring him to win your case. He is the best disability attorney you will ever meet. He will see your case as it is and tell you what will happen and I’m telling you, it will happen. The first appointment, he told me exactly what would take place. It turned out to be a 2 year process but the sequence of events were exactly as he foretold.
Mr Tripp was referred to me by someone. I reached out, and Mr Tripp and his secretary Marla were absolutely AMAZING. Mr Tripp came off a little intimidating at first but it was because he was just very blunt, and I appreciated that in him. He didn’t lie about things, he told me he was going to review my case before gave me a for sure decision on if he would help me with the case for my son. Mr Tripp said he wouldn’t take my case if he didn’t think he could win, he also let me know that Childrens cases are a lot harder to win. However, Mr Tripp gave it his all and he genuinely showed he actually cared about my son and I and we were not just a “job” to him. Mr Tripp was very professional and I will recommend him to ANYONE, and if I ever need help again he will be my VERY FIRST call! Thank you Mr Tripp, you and your team have been absolutely AMAZING!
MR. TRIPP and his team are great they got my case approved I tried it on my own I didn't get anywhere do yourself a favor and just hire the Tripp law firm thay are easy to work with and keep you informed They answered all my questions in a timely manner and thay will save you alot of headaches
I appreciate the time and effort Mr. Tripp and his staff put into this case. I am incredibly relieved and thankful that he helped me win. It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can breathe again. Timothy Tripp has a soft spot for people who genuinely struggle to make it day by day, him agreeing to take my case is the best thing that could have happened.
There were a few times I wanted to give up but Mr. Tripp helped guide me through the next steps and encourage me to keep going after what was rightly mine. He and his staff were always so helpful and in the end I won my case! Great Team to work with!
Mr. Tripp helped me during my SSDI initial application and receives my highest recommendation! He is a talented attorney who understands every step of this process. He is straight forward and extremely clear in his explanations which is an asset during this confusing process. During my horrific diagnosis which resulted in changes to every aspect of my life, he took control and let me focus on fighting to live rather than fighting to apply! His entire office treats you as if you are a member of their own family.
I started my disability claim in Calif and was told by a good attorney that I hired my claim was extremely hard to beat because I waited too long to start it. Eventually I moved to Iowa and had to find another attorney to which I found Mr Tripp by searching the internet. He proved to live up to his great reviews and won my claim. You will not find a better attorney than him, hands down. I am very thankful that I did. Thank you again Mr Timothy Tripp for your expertise
