Stepp Law Group, PLLC is a law firm established in 2008 with an office in Monroe, NC. At this office location, there are 2 lawyers practicing family law, divorce, separation agreements and 18 other areas of law.
There are equally knowledgeable lawyers out there who are easier to work with.Even though i hired Donna and paid thousands of dollars, it often felt like she thought she was doing me a favor. If I ever spoke up she threatened me with the ultimatum of leaving my case or telling me I could go. While I guess I could have done that, the time and expense I had already put into the case made that option less than ideal so I just kind of gave up. Divorce is hard enough without the lawyer you hire to work for you, making it harder. Donna just made an already horrible situation that much worse. I would not recommend.
Honestly Donna Stepp was always hard to get responses from. Lacked personalized attention to my case and situation. Also.. I didn't mind paying her expensive fees but really believe she's Very unethical. I got my final bill and still had over 4000.00k remaining of NO SERVICES RENDERED, AND WAS REFUSED A REFUND. I SIGNED A CONTRACT STATING THAT A REFUND WOULD BE DONE REASONABLY IF SERVICES DIDNT EXCEED retainer, and SERVICES RENDERED DEFINITELY DIDN'T EXCEED RETAINER. I FEEL 4K WAS STOLEN from me. REALLY VERY UNETHICAL. And she didn't file anything....she actually had me do the work I paid her for. Yes she showed up 2 times to court has a reputation but I don't believe her services were worth the financial lose.
Did not help me one bit. Only drug case out to get more money. A year later and $4,000 later I am no better off than I was the day I went to see her. I am charged for things I was not told about and have no results. Very dissatisfied!
