Stepp is as unethical as it comes. She is also expensive. She does have an "in" on the good ole boy union county system" which compounds her lack of ethics. Keep in mind , if hired, she does nothing quickly- usually milking it for as far as she can get. There are many more qualified Attorneys in Union County - Do your homework. Buyer beware if you use Stepp
Working with Donna was one of the worst experiences of my life. She made a horrible situation that much worse. Getting a divorce is horrible enough but she acts like she's doing you a favor even though you are paying her thousands of dollars. She has utter contempt for her clients and truly at the end of the day, is just not a nice person. There are so many other lawyers to choose from who understand that divorce is difficult. I'm not saying she doesn't know the law, but there are others who do just as well that won't treat you so poorly.
If you hire her get ready to give her everything you have. She will bill you for everything and her rates are triple the price of every other attorney near her. She bills the same rate for answering an email as she does for being in the court room - completely unethical.
I contacted Stepp Lehnhardt Law Group for my separation agreement. Never going thru a divorce before, I thought this law firm would look out for my best interest- I am on my second attorney -who is just as surprised that this firm put this agreement together. My case is straight forward and did not need to go to court-I assume that is why the concern for my case was not a priority.
