Visa Expires june 11th what can i do to stay?

Answered by attorney Alan Lee
Immigration lawyer at Alan Lee Arthur Lee, Attorneys at Law
Assuming that you mean your period of stay allowed in the country rather than just the validity date of the visa which only controls when you are allowed to enter the U.S., you have 30 days grace period following the expiration of your M schooling. During that time, it would be best if you consulted with an immigration lawyer to go over your available options. Generally speaking, you could possibly request an additional period of time to stay under B-2 visitor status to do whatever you need to have done prior to leaving the States. Also if your fiancée is a US citizen and you decide to marry, you could be adjusted to permanent residence without leaving the country. Can I get any waiver for a 10-year bar?

Quite possibly. You should consult an experienced immigration attorney to discuss your case in detail, but it sounds like you're a good candidate for a hardship waiver.

If you were married before your parents were naturalized under the F2b category, your petition was automatically terminated by law when you got married. Thus, the approved petition is no longer valid.
