How long do I have to wait before I can help my second husband get his papers?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
The two cases are unrelated as long as both were bona fide relationships and not for immigration purposes. You and your boyfriend should get a consultation though to review his complete immigration history, method of entering the U.S., other qualifying relatives, and criminal record, any returns to the home country, etc. to assess what the process will be to obtain his permanent residency through your marriage and whether he will be able to file here or will need to return home and apply for a waiver or whether neither option is open to him.

Can a green card holder petition for an illegal immigrant daughter?

Answered by attorney Bruce A. Coane (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Coane & Associates, PLLC
A green card holder can petition for an unmarried daughter, but not for a married daughter. The fact that she is illegal, may affect her ability to adjust status, but that's a whole separate application process.
