Always values kindness and ethics first yet equally capable of protecting her client's rights. She prioritizes the kids interest above all, gives sound advice and always available to her clients. Courtney took over my case in the middle of a custody dispute. From day one she advocated for me and exceeded all expectations in her commitment to my family. In what seemed like a fairly grim legal situation, through mediation and communication with co counsel, she was able to dramatically turn things around for my son. She is exceptionally strong, assertive, and unwavering when necessary. She is also very practical and straightforward when giving advice. She sincerely changed the trajectory of my son's young life and I could not be more grateful for her counsel!

I think Tanya’s bio is misleading. With a background in social work, custody matters involving substance abuse and work as a custody evaluator, I expected her to have soft skills and a more compassionate approach, particularly toward children. If you are a victim of abuse or domestic violence, I can’t recommend Tanya, which is sad because she seemed very knowledgeable and skilled. It felt to me like she had decided who I was before she walked into the room and held me to that. It wasn’t accurate. She didn’t have a good read on me, and she decided early in the meeting that she didn’t trust me as a client. She spoke to me very slowly and condescendingly as if I was mentally impaired and not understanding her when really I wasn’t understanding why she was treating me so inconsistently. I also cannot recommend her for people with older children/teens. The best description I can think of is she’s like a doctor who is very skilled but has a very hard bedside manner.

Ms Puttmann did not have necessary files in court and her line of questioning did not provide a clear picture of my spouse's situation. She failed to guide me in completing financial documents which lead to confusion and misinformation in the courtroom. She did not provide sound advice regarding next steps or necessary actions that I should take prior to going to trial. It did not appear as if she was concerned about my welfare or the welfare of my children, for whom I had sole custody.

I retained Ms. Puttmann in July 2009 to represent me in my divorce. With only three week to my permanent orders hearing and after have paid her over $10,500., she withdrew from the case because I couldn't come up with an additional $5000. With close to $2000. left in my trust, I do not presently owe her any money. I also own half of a mortgage-free home and would have been able to pay her off after the house sells. She even billed me for the cost of filing to withdraw. Definitely don't recommend

I hired David Lamb to help with custody issues regarding my granddaughter. From the very beginning, he claimed this was an open-and-shut case and that no judge would ever take my granddaughter away from the only home she’s ever known and give her to a man with a felony record and a history of addiction. But that’s exactly what happened. All along the way, David repeatedly gave me terrible advice that ended up costing me tens of thousands of dollars. For instance, he told me it was fine to move to California because I was my granddaughter’s legal guardian and no official court filings had been made. Then, I was accused of absconding, and he refused to fight these allegations! David told me challenging the ruling would be pointless. After the absconding hearing, he went up to the magistrate to congratulate her on her promotion and wish her well right in front of me! It was both insensitive and hurtful. Tanya came in initially like she cared, then very swiftly shifted gears, letting her litigious side take replace her compassion. All she cared about was going to trial and throughout 8 hearings, she shushed me repeatedly. She was not interested in the things that I had to say or my feelings about anything. All she wanted was my money and drained me for everything I had just to exercise her ego in court and litigate. My entire savings and retirement is gone which ended in me temporarily losing custody of my son in the end. She was nasty to opposing council, never once attempting to settle us out of court. It was the "Tanya Show". She was extremely condescending throughout, even scolding me on the phone at one point calling me names, including that I was a "bad mother". She knows the law well, but completely disregards the person she is serving. I changed lawyers who got us settled out of court for everything, getting custody back and even attorneys fees. Avoid this woman at all costs.
