My husband and I hired Mark as our lawyer for my husband to adopt my son. Mark was prompt to return my call, at this time Mark ensued with his legal guidance. I received updates not just from his office but Mark himself. It was a long journey however, Mark made sure that every detail was done by the book and we didn't miss any steps for the opposing party to come back into my son's life. We now have a complete family. I would recommend this law firm to fight for the outcome you want.

When I spoke to him about my case in his office he told me that he could get this and do that because I had an excellent case. When it came down to do the mediation he was almost 30 minutes late which is very unprofessional. During the mediation he began to crumble and back out of everything he told me before. The other party was represented not by a lawyer but a legal aid and he was unable to get the simplest things done. I am very dissatisfied with his representation. Not Satisfied at all

My experience with the Law Office of Mark Childress was deeply disappointing. During our initial consultation regarding my wife's case involving her ex, Mr. Childress assured us we had an 'excellent case' and claimed we would not need to pay anything after the court date as the opposing party would cover all fees. Based on these assurances, we paid a $2,500 retainer. After payment, our case was assigned to another attorney within the firm. We then received notice that the initial retainer had been depleted and additional funds were needed. The new attorney's assessment of our case contradicted Mr. Childress's initial evaluation, suggesting we were unlikely to recover any money at court and strongly pushing us toward settlement. We felt pressured to settle rather than pursue the case as originally discussed. The end result: we spent approximately $6,000 in legal fees with virtually nothing to show for it.

This is the epitome of “What do you call 10,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? A good start” They were a bait and switch firm from the start. If you don’t have 20-30K disposable cash on hand don’t bother calling. Them : So how's the divorce going? Me: Umm you're my lawyer, shouldn't you be telling me what's going on? Them : Your wife has a new lawyer, Me : Does that change anything? Them : No, our next step is mediation, She’s getting her house, her car her daughters car your getting your house, truck and motorcycle and there is no other thing like a 401K to worry about Me : Well there is the 120K roth Them : Oh yea I forgot about that. We got the inventory document just have not filled it out yet, and after 7500 they still have not Guess I'll have to pay for that AGAIN
