Will my boss find out I got a DUI?

Neither the court nor the police will notify your employer of your DUI. However, you may need to be in court for your case and may have to explain why you are not at work. In addition, there is a possible jail sentence if you are convicted and you may have to explain why you are not at work. I suggest that you retain the best DUI attorney you can afford.

Hire an attorney. You are most likely being charged with felony drunk driving. The statute of limitation on that is usually 3 years. If you are charged with a misdemeanor, your attorney may be able to have the charges dismissed.

If you are talking about getting arrested without having your rights read to you, the answer is yes. Although an officer should read you your Miranda rights when you are arrested, it is not absolutely necessary as long as you are not questioned about the crime for which you were arrested or were detained during the questioning. Miranda only acts to suppress any statements you gave the police after you are arrested or detained. It does not invalidate an arrest.
