DUI/DWI lawyer at Miller & Harrison, LLC
My law partner Bob Miller is willing to discuss this with you - call him at 303-449-2830 x2. So if you woudl like to call him he may be able to help.  Certainly it would be best if the car that ran into your house was insured fully as that woudl make resolving the case and getting paid easier.

How much will a OWI attorney cost?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
It varies in price based on location and the experience of the attorney. I would say the average price is around $1,500. You might find some for about $1,000 and some even as low as $500. Whatever you do, stay as far away from thos low-ballers as possible. They do not have your best interest at heart and will do nothing more than plead you out the first chance they get regardless of whether it is a good plea or not. They will get the police report and maybe the cruiser cam video and nothing more. Someone with years of experience may charge in the $2,500 range. A good DUI attorney will more than pay for himself in what he can save you. A good DUI attorney will at the very least get the police reports, dash cam videos, calibration reports and maintenance logs for the roadside PBT and Data Master, certifications for the operators and other information that may be relevant to your case. Only someone with experience in handling DUIs have a trained eye for spotting deficiencies in the police reports or in the stop itself as well as in the administering of the field sobriety tests or roadside PBT or the chemical test at the station. There may be problems that your attorney can point out that can get the charges reduced or dismissed. DUIs are costly in terms of fines, costs, possible jail time, probation, vehicle immobilization, driver's responsibility fees, losing your license and collateral costs such as higher insurance premiums, and affecting your job or schooling. You don't just want to go with whomever is the cheapest. You want to go with someone with experience and has a history of getting good results. Think of it this way: if you were shopping around for a brain surgeon, you wouldn't just go with the lowest bidder.

If I had blood drawn and the results read .08 alcohol in my system, was I legally intoxicated?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
DUI/DWI lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
In Colorado, DUI starts at 0.08 BAC. But, there is a lesser included charge of DWAI from 0.05-0.079. You may suffer DMV drivers license consequences if BAC is 0.08 or above. In response to your DUI Post: I am a criminal defense attorney with more than 15 years experience on DUI cases. Some important information: If you have been served with a Notice of Revocation, then you have 7 days to request a hearing. Please do that immediately by going to your local DMV office, tell them you got a DUI and you want to request a hearing. They will give you a form.
