Do I have to remove all of my personal items from the house?

Rebecca A Rainwater
Answered by attorney Rebecca A Rainwater (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Landon Rainwater Robinson LLP
You can remove your personal items. Document what you take, list, video or pictures. If anything you take is an asset obtained during the marriage, you must not sell or destroy the item as you are required to maintain community property until all property is divided and judgment entered.

How can I get an uncontested divorce?

Answered by attorney Barbara Peyton (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peyton & Associates
To get a divorce, you must file papers with the court and have your husband served. Once that happens, the case will proceed even if he doesn't agree to sign papers.

Can you get into trouble if you want to date someone else while separated and filing for divorce?

Answered by attorney George Martin Derieg (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at The Derieg Law Firm
Not at all. It is illegal to get married until your divorce is finalized. It might be in your best interests not to let the other party know you are dating someone else. If it is an amicable divorce, you may not want to upset the applecart.
