He is trying to perpetrate a fraud on the court. It may be a crime, but is definitely wrong. Tell him no and if raises any kind of stink, tell him you will go to his wife's attorney and tell him or her what he tried to do. If it were me, I would do it anyway. The woman gives him her life and now he wants to cheat her. One more point. If your boyfriend is like his grandfather, you might want to reconsider boyfriends.

Attorney never registers as my attorney

Answered by attorney Gina M. Famularo
Divorce lawyer at Family Law Matters
It is extremely difficult to second guess the actions of another attorney. I do not know the circumstances under which the original attorney worked, and ai do not know what the retainer agreement said. However, if you had an uneasy feeling about your first attorney, you probably did the right thing by getting new counsel.

A Settlement agreement is not a court order until it is submitted to the court and executed by the judge.
