What punishments will my friend face for a DUI?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
DWI or DUI? Probably DWI - anyone over 21 who blew a .08 or higher, or an adult. He could get up to 6 months in jail (up to 1 year if he blew .15 or higher), and up to a $2,000 fine (or $4,000 fine.) He needs to hire a good lawyer. It is possible that he can beat the case and get nothing. He needs representation before the 15th day after his arrest so the lawyer can request a hearing on his administrative license revocation matter.

Will my record show my Class 3 Felony?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
You have a felony conviction? A felony conviction is a felony conviction. It will always appear on your record, even when your voting rights may be restored. I suspect that most medical companies do not need to employed a convicted felon, but the conviction itself will not present you from obtaining employment. You need to ask the folks in the medical community if you are employable as a nurse.

I sent annoying emails indirectly through a website contact form.

Richard Keith Oliver
Answered by attorney Richard Keith Oliver (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Law Office of Rick Oliver
It is possible that you could be prosecuted for Harrassment. If the State can prove that the intent of the emails/reviews was to harras or annoy the establishment, they can make out a case. From this point forward, I would suggest that the only people you discuss this case with is your attorney. If the State gets wind, and chooses to pursue charges, you will likely still have options to protect your record; so that's the good news. What you need to avoid is making a bad situation worse.    Best of luck!   Rick
