UpRight Law is a law firm established in 2008 with an office in Chicago, IL. At this office location, there is 1 lawyer practicing bankruptcy, bankruptcy chapter 13, bankruptcy chapter 7.
This firm is a total RIP OFF!!! They said they had a local attorney,it was two hours away. I canceled it and they were going to refund my card and they said it took 4-6 weeks. They didn't do it,so I disputed they charge. They sent a denial back to my bank. I have tried to get a hold of them all day. They put you on hold and never answer. Their recording says to keep your place in line press pound and they will call you back. Never got a call back at all.
I called this office and got a young man Name Devonta, he was so rude he wanted me to make a decision right then I said I just called to get some answers , he was talking so aggressive to me I had to tell he waited a minute he hung up thank God, I didn't make no decision.
Quick to reach out when you owe money but the minute they owe you they take forever. Was told my refund would be sent out 2 weeks ago and I would receive an email to let me know when it was sent out but could take 3-5 days to be in my bank account. well here I am 17 days later, no email and no refund. So all of these rating of 4.9 and 4.3 I don’t know where they are coming from. Their accreditation from Better Business Bureau was revoked over 2 years ago. Spoke to them and was told to wait more.
UPRIGHT LAW SCAM / BAIT AND SWITCH / NO REFUND This company is a SCAM, they pressure you into a decision and are quick to take your money, use bait and switch tactics, then avoid your calls, put you on long holds to get rid of you, and never call you back when you need something from them. After almost 2 months we still have not received our refund.

This place was awful, terrible to reach, and their whole business model just makes it very difficult to stay updated on what is happening on your case. Wish I would have gone with a local firm.
They will not give your money back, very dishonest !
I would like to warn anyone considering using this firm. I contacted them just to get an idea of what they could do for me. The consultant, "James", was rude from the beginning. They determine you are desperate and use HIGH pressure tactics. My thoughts are if this is a legitimate firm why do they have to use these sort of tactics to obtain clients. In my opinion, there is something VERY sketchy about this firm. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
