Beard had been partners at Stophel, Caldwell & Heggie, P.C., one of Tennessee's largest law firms. The firm offers a wide range of legal services including personal injury litigation, worker's compensation, professional negligence litigation, commercial litigation, construction law and litigation, domestic work, commercial and banking work, employment law, corporate and business law, tax law, estate planning, estate administration, real estate, managed health care and bankruptcy work including representation of trustees and creditors. The firm has a substantial and growing base of commercial and business clients, serves as local counsel for national companies and handles complicated negligence and commercial litigation.

I am a small business owner, and I contacted Jonathan regarding my company’s legal issues. My company now uses Jonathan any time we need legal counsel. In my opinion, he’s very good at what he does, he’s straight forward, he’s honest, he has a knack for explaining complicated legal stuff to me and my staff and he’s always prompt getting back to us (which is very important to me). I believe he has the best interest of my company in mind every time we talk. I've referred him several times.

Hired Attorney Robert Jonathan Guthrie

Jonathan does not take shortcuts when representing clients; he is very diligent and thoughtful. I highly recommend him to anyone needing an attorney who understands the need for reasonableness. However, he can draw a line in the sand when required.

Hired Attorney Mr. Steven Jacoway

This was the first time our family had ever needed an attorney. Mr. Jacoway returned our call within 1/2 hour on a Sunday morning. Throughout the entire process we found him compassionate, experienced, professional, responsive, punctual, and thorough. We believe it was due to his guidance and expertise that we were able to conclude this difficult patch in our lives with a complete victory - a dismissal of all charges. We will not hesitate to use Mr. Jacoway again, should the need arise.

Hired Attorney Mr. John Beard

Mr. Beard prepared two state inheritance tax returns for me. One for my father and one for my mother. My parents died 11 days apart. He was always timely and professional in all of our communications. He answered my questions in terms I could understand. The quick acceptance of the tax returns by the State of Tennessee is an indication of the thoroughness of the job he did.

Hired Attorney Mr. John Beard

His knowledge and understanding of a potentially conflicting un-divided ownership sale of real estate was able to point out items of the contract that were not in our best interest and to recommend changes to the contract which highly strengthened our position and resulted in a more favorable bargaining position.
