Richard M. Morgan has been practicing law in Georgia since 1987. Richard founded the award-winning Alpharetta law firm of Morgan & DiSalvo, P.C. in 1995 to help individuals and families plan and prepare for the many changes that life brings. Morgan & DiSalvo was again named in U.S. News & World Report's “Best Law Firms” ranking for 2013-2019. Richard also serves on a 2 member sub-committee of the Fiduciary Law Section to propose a Technical Corrections Bill to improve the 2017 Georgia Uniform Power of Attorney Act.

Richard Morgan has been our ‘go to’ person for changes to our trusts, wills and related documents since 2017. Richard takes the time to listen and understand our changing family dynamics and the need to protect our assets. It’s also important that we make sure that our adult children will have someone to work with when we are no longer able to do so. Richard also has significant involvement in the Georgia state trust law changes. He did a great job understanding our needs and updating our documents to work best with Georgia statute changes that have occurred since our last update. Richard’s staff is extremely helpful and wonderfully responsive. They took care of our needs along the way and were always there to answer our questions. Richard was my financial advisor's recommendation. He discussed the differences between the Living Will and Revocable and irrevocable Trust options with my wife and me over a Zoom call. Richard advised about the benefits and maintenance of each type. He meticulously had me and my wife listed all our financial assets and real estate. Ideas like planning the percentage of benefits passed on to my children and the age schedule were constructive in putting together a thorough plan. The documentation took about six months. I paid half upfront and half after completion. Richard's team connected me through this period and shared the drafts. Over Zoom, another beneficial session lasted over two hours, providing further clarity. I have become familiar with what otherwise looks like a legal pile of papers. Subsequently, we visited his office, friendly staff, and witnesses to sign the document. I now have peace of mind, a very effective Trust, and a digital backup with Richard.
