While reading the reviews, I was very surprised. Byron is very knowledgeable about what he does and very responsive. He answered all of my questions that I had. He is great at explaining things that I would not have otherwise understood.
Byron was recommended to me through a college friend and I couldn't have been happier with his service. Litigation is not for everyone and it burns up money like most people wouldn't believe, until they are forced into it. The best you can probably expect in the family courts or anything involving divorce or your kids is that your attorney will make it slightly less painful and perhaps get you some of what you are seeking. Byron did that for me without breaking the bank. He told me what my chances were with the various things we could do and got me the best results i could expect under the circumstances. Byron represented me several times and I would go back to him again if i had to (God forbid). Just keep in mind no one really wins in Family or divorce court.
Bryon and his team have provided excellent representation. After being divorce for over 5 years, my former spouse started with his nonsense of not paying child support and other frivolous accusations. Byron and his team have been compassionate and professional during my ordeal. I can't say enough good things about them. Happy to confirmed the court ruled in my favor. Byron was an adversary on a case years ago. He comes to the courtroom with command of the facts and the law. His approach in our case was firm, but reasonable and we were able to resolve the matter without the expense of trial. He subsequently litigated against another colleague who had a similarly positive assessment. I refer all of my Long Island cases to Byron.
Come on people look at the reviews. There are several reviews within a very short period of time. Which was most likely made if not by Mr. Divins and his staff and himself.
As the other reviewers pointed out, this man is dishonest and untrustworthy. He will tell you what you want to hear until the point when it blows up in your face... I wish I never met Mr Divins.
Mr. Divens is an unhappy man that brought his own family problems to work. He has quite a temper and he showed it. He likes to brag about his military background, but neglects to be honest and show kindness to his clients. He’s not the man for this job.
DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS. Robert Macchia and Byron Divins will do whatever it takes to take as much money from you as possible. Working mom here and was in the process of getting a divorce and Robert manipulated me with all these fabricated stories regarding my ex to get me to fight him in court when we were trying to quickly settle out of court. Robert said my ex was bad mouthing me and spreading lies and I was emotionally unstable and believed Robert. He clearly took advantage of me and my situation and on top of that his bill was outrageous. Charged me for the free consult and then in the end said if I didn’t pay for all the legal fees there will be big trouble for me. Please stay away from the most dishonest group of people I have ever met.
