Hope Law Firm P.L.C. is a law firm established in 2003 with an office in West Des Moines, IA. At this office location, there are 7 lawyers practicing divorce law, child custody, child support and 38 other areas of law.
I was impressed that my attorney and his staff were very down to earth and friendly. I never felt alone in this process and always had a sense of security that Andrew was on my side. I have heard horror stories about divorce cases costing many thousands of dollars, and to my delight- they kept the costs relatively low. (yay) Never want to go through a legal battle again, but if had to would use them. Also liked their evening hours avail.
I have referred four friends/co-workers to Hope Law. (divorce or children custody issues) Very friendly guys and gals who seem to actually care what is going on in your life. Also, we like the option of being able to get our paperwork and everything started with only half of the retainer paid at first, then the other half in a month later. Very cut and dry divorce. Cost much less than I anticipated and less than what other lawyers had originally quoted me. Easy people to deal with. Not something you should enjoy, divorce, but this group at Andrew Hope office was pleasant and super nice.
Andrew was a very aggressive, yet super nice guy to work with. He was awesome and very helpful when it came to explaining all of the legal mumbo-jumbo to me and my husband, in terms that we could understand. His office gals were also all very helpful and sweet:) I have already referred a family friend and a co-worker to Andrew, "Andy"- and it seems that he was able to take care of their issues also. One was a step-parent adoption case and another was a financial/bankruptcy deal. Gotta have HOPE
My wife and I used Hope Law Firm to file for Bankruptcy. It is not something that we ever thought that we would be faced with, but due to irreversible circumstances and loss of employment when my position was eliminated over a year ago(and some other detrimental events)bankruptcy was our only way out. I used the family lawyer, Katie Naset and her assistant Shelby Burns, from Hope Law Firm out of the West, Des Moines location. The first time I met with Katie, she was very upfront and honest about my situation which is exactly what anybody should be looking for from a lawyer. She laid out a realistic plan and goal and told me what to expect. Katie was always two steps ahead of our other opponent, knowing exactly what we needed to do. She will also crush anybody's poker face in court. 19/20
All the people working at Hope Law Firm were nice, helpful, informative, and honest. I, for one, will be returning for any and all legal advice and counsel.
They wanted more money before they used the retainer that I gave them. The retainer more than covered the cost of the divorce, per their initial letter.
My lawyer turned out to be friends with my ex's lawyer, so she refused to fight for me at all. I went from having every other weekend with my kids to every other weekend. She refused to fight it, even refused to get the days changed to days I don't work. Will not recommend.
