Hired Attorney John Whalen Jr.

Living out of state, and not knowing how Pennsylvania laws work, John has been a very valuable asset on making sure we knew what had to be done and doing everything properly. He is very busy but always made sure he found the time to answer all of our questions. We are still in the process of settling the estate and having him available has allowed us to continue with our lives on the other side of the country.

Hired Attorney John Whalen Jr.

John has been a Godsend to the family, handling a very emotionally-draining estate administration for a disabled surviving spouse. He has been extremely patient. He provides more than basic legal services; he's been extremely helpful and super-patient, even providing a shoulder for her to cry on when the going gets extra tough, and can approach sometimes-difficult family members with apparent ease. John was the perfect selection for the family's needs, and I would gladly recommend him.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
