Hired Karen and she did us no good. She made a simple mistake that any lawyer should know NOT to do, and then had the gall to bill me to correct the mistake with the court filing she had made. It seemed as though every time I talked to her about 'strategy' as to what I was thinking, then our opponent got wind of it. How? Was she good friends with oppossing counsel? She was asked straight away when interviewing her if she had had business w/opposing counsel - and she said no. Then during mediation she informed me she had been hired by opposing counsel more than once! My heart sank. She was warned that extreme care must be taken in the drafting of the settlement agreement due to our crafty opponent. Alas, she failed me! She just doesn't seem to really care and gives lip service with a "just trust me" comment, but I didn't see any real thinking or strategy to win my case. Thus, I put her in with the 90% mediocre attorneys who gladly just take your money. Keep looking.
