Ms.Avila said all the right things. Her charges were high, but she seemed worth it. Our first step was mediation. My husband presented his plan for joint custody and visitation. He had worked out a schedule based on his work schedule that gave us each exactly the same amount of time. I protested, Avila asked to speak to me alone. She said, "well, I think this is the best we can do. If you have $10,000 we can take it to court. Would not give me hours she had spent and kept all the money.
Worst lawyer ever! In fact, I can't believe this crook is still in business. Made the mistake of hiring her for my divorce. She blew through my $5,000 retainer in days, with phony or inflated charges and had the nerve to tell me I owed her $2,500 more PLUS another $2,500 to continue. She hadn't done anything yet!!!!!!! Showed up late and hung over to court and pissed off the judge, who then threw us out of the court and delayed my hearing! This is a slimy, lying crook!! Do NOT use her!!!!
Yes, she did the same to me. Took my $6,500 & ran. My Ex's lawyer had to finish. He stated that she has gotten worse! Please email me at Pro10Master1@gmail.com if you seek restitution. I've been able to collect a lot of strong cases. Area lawyers are frustrated. Please - let's stop this terrible representation of a lawyer for good!!!!
Lack of communication, high fees, service is terrible. 11k in retainer fees, mureen withdraw from case for unknown reason. Promises made, but not kept. Don't waste your time. Will report to florida bar.
