I hired Eva to represent me in divorce proceedings. The case lasted longer than we expected (but not due to anything Eva had control over), so I got to know her well. Throughout the process, Eva worked with me, educating me on the law, patiently explaining my options, and--when the need arose--fighting for me in court. Ms. Martelle operates on the basis of saving all parties involved as much money as possible. She does that very well; to the point at which there is no nothing accomplished by hiring her. She avoids all battles. Any opposition willing to nickel and dime you will do so to the tune of 10s of thousands without her raising an eyebrow. Her philosophy is admirable but she's absolutely worthless as a lawyer in an adversarial divorce.
