Aided in a Fiduciary matter
Firm's partner abandoned representation without notice so we were unrepresented without our knowledge on our estates for several years and knowingly had our original vaulted estate docs sent to a defunct address, where they were irretrievably lost and which cost us over $13,000 paid to the firm. When we asked firm if it would re-execute original docs for us, with us assuming all costs for preparation, firm chair refused to reply to request and all followup communications.
Atty represented us for many yrs, insisting on keeping our original estate docs in firm’s off-site vault, for which we paid over $13,000. When we contacted her to make changes, discovered she abandoned representation of us w/o notice yrs earlier, knowingly sending our vaulted original estate docs to a defunct address under the false premise that we had contacted her to hire other counsel, violating state law & ethics code. Refused to communicate w/ us or redo docs she had lost. Untrustworthy.
