Dan Herbert is an incredible attorney. He knows how to focus on what's important and not, for instance, how to spend $7,000 in legal fees arguing over a $300 coffee table. He understands why you've hired him and is intent on providing a good value for your investment. In addition to his normal civil efforts, he's a Marine Corps Reserve Lt. Col. and war veteran and understands the needs of military law and can function in that capacity quite well.{para}Worth every penny!
He is an honorable and trustworthy individual. He has the highest of standards that he places on himself and takes charge in the courtroom. He knew statutes and civil codes that the judge had to look up. Lawyers overall would have a much better reputation and level of respect if they were like Dan. He sets the bar for all to aspire to. He continues his excellence off the jobs as well as he is a very generous and active member of his neighborhood church. I cannot say enough to praise this man.
nothing ever seemed to get accomplished
I would suggest avoiding working with Lisa. There are many competent and efficient trust/estate lawyers in the area. Extremely high bills for the low amount of work she completes.
Terrible experience with Lisa. Still ongoing. Excessive charges for work that is far outside of the scope of legal practice. Failure to communicate with clients, dodges simple questions, does not apply law or common practice when carrying out a will/trust, etc.
This guy is a disgrace to his profession. I hired him awhile ago (when he was with Good, Hemme and Peterson) . He was completely unknowledgeable! Opposing counsel ran circles around him. The pleadings he did produce where loaded with typos, blunders, wrong dates and misspelled words. Information shared with him under the guise of the attorney-client privilege, meant nothing to him, which he openly shared with opposing counsel, much to my detriment. I am still seething from his representation.
