Mr. Efron is an experienced and fair lawyer. I lost visitation rights to my two daughters based on claims from my ex-wife that did not have a good legal standing. Mr. Efron helped me structure and present arguments that countered those of my ex-wife. In 4 court hearings, all 4 judges sided with me. I am back on a standard possession order. I credit Mr. Efron with our success. His ability to ask my ex-wife the right questions during interrogation left no doubt who was acting wrongfully.

Hired Barry to help us with our estate planning. We found Barry to very friendly, approachable, and easy to talk. He was able to ascertain our needs and create the documents we needed to have everything set up as we wanted. He sat and talked with us and really listened to determine what we wanted and advised us on a couple things in a way that was very helpful. Highly recommend!

Mr. Efron's office helped us with our first home purchase since the transaction took place without the aid of real estate agents. Mr. Efron drew up the purchase agreement contract and answered all of our questions along the way. I had previously contacted a different lawyer for help, but I was unable to clearly understand his explanation of how the whole transaction would take place. Mr. Efron explained things much more clearly and was very helpful throughout the process. Thank you!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe it is important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. In fall 2024, Barry Efron advised us that a quiet title action was not necessary for a property we purchased at a deed auction. We later learned that this advice was incorrect and that a quiet title filing was required. We returned to Mr. Efron in April 2025 and paid his fees to handle the quiet title case. From April through August 2025, we made numerous documented attempts to obtain a status update via phone and email, but received no response. In August 2025, Mr. Efron acknowledged that the quiet title had not been filed and subsequently filed it on August 27, approximately four months after payment was made. This is unethical behavior in our opinion. Since then, we have continued attempting to communicate regarding the status of the matter and our concerns about the delay, without success. This firm was contacted because they had drafted my maternal grandmother's Last Will and Testament. Due to an oversight on my family's part with probating the Will in proper timeframe, their legal guidance was sought because their firm drafted the Will, and would understand best how to interpret the heirship protocols. This was in April of 2023. It is now over 2-years later and Barry Efron has not completed the task that he has been hired to complete. He does not communicate in a timely manner and fails to meet promised timelines. You can email, call and even text him and he purposely neglects to respond. His lack of professionalism and integrity is causing me to file a complaint with the Texas State Bar Association, which if you read their website and the biography of his father Jack was a respected member. This firm is a family business and that is commendable but Barry Efron does not represent the professionalism that his father has established according to the biography.

At time he will go three months without responding or giving updates to case via email or phone. He recalls very little knowledge of case at hand, even on aspects he himself did. Very poor knowledge of the law regarding specific area of law I hired him for, though he sounded amazingly qualified when I interviewed him. Seems to prolong case (for more billable hours?) Does not handle in timely manner in any way shape or form. Mistypes legal documents ALL the time.
