I had to be my own patient advocate and provide many of my own medical records, they were not accommodating in resources that I had to find out on my own through different avenues. I could have and should have handled my case personally.

I did most of the leg work for paperwork, when we went to the hearing the lawyer did not try to help me get back payments for the previous years that I had tried to apply for myself. They are trying to charge me for copying and filing on disc information that I provided. I have tried to contact them to ask questions (I have left over 10 messages and have not received a phone call back since they were paid, yet I have not gotten my funds)Why would they ignore me now, well they got there money.

They never call you back. They are oh so eager to sign you up, and then totally ignore you. I am not a nervous Nelly that needs hand-holding, but I am surprised when they tell you 'we need to get you to see a doctor' and then don't call you for two weeks and are irritated when I call to ask what is going on. Communication between client and office is poor at best in my experience.

Worst attorney I've dealt with. He assigned Jennifer something as my case manager. This woman refused to call me back unless I would ask for her supervisor. When she would finally call me back she would lie to me. This last time I was calling regarding a letter from the SSA dated 1/27/26 asking for my updated medical files, I left her 4 messages, my case manager with the aging and disabled left her a message and I left a message for the attorney and 2 for the supervisor no one ever returned my calls in over a week. I finally call to withdraw them as my attorney and Jennifer calls me back, lies to me about only getting 1 message total and says the letter I received in December was just an update on my request for a hearing. I stopped her and said that wasn't why I called. She said oh well you just have to tell me about new medical stuff. Well I can't do that if you don't call me back. Don't waste your time on these guys.

These attorneys are a scam, I was already in the middle of doing all my paperwork to submit and ask them if I get approved on my own will I be charged, they said only of they have to represent me. I did not need them as I got approved on my own, but they still took 6,000 from my check. They lied to me and got away with it. Do not trust these crooks.

Do not fall victim to this firm. Left with haunting last words from a senior attorney after hear my grievance ,"stop acting the victim and move on. We did our job. You just got a bad judge." After 5 yrs fighting disability, through 2 appeals and now fighting federal with a different firm. The arrogance and lack of compassion from my attorney left me destitute from a devastating humiliating loss. I have now been diagnosed with a terminal bone disease, Drs saying they can now only hope to keep me comfortable. I can only hope this new firm can clean up the pathetic mess of a case Shook and Stone left them to fight. Do not fall victim to Shook and Stone.

This was a good firm until my caseworker departed the firm…. Melinda Cruz was the most understanding patient person I ever met at a firm… but now poor communication,not up to investigating problems with Mail or emails… they need to care more about their clients
