About Mr. Kevin P. Hopper, Esq.

Kevin Hopper is known, for his multifaceted expertise as a highly-skilled trial attorney. He knows his stuff. More importantly, Kevin is a compassionate listener. He takes his clients’ needs and concerns and runs through applicable laws and all variables to get to the heart of the matter and establish the best course of action to pursue with dogged determination for achieving the best possible outcome for his client(s).

As a husband and father, Kevin understands the stressful and emotional challenges in domestic cases. Family Law cases are not one size fits all. Each client needs a resolution that is best for them.

He understands the stressful and emotional nature of family law cases and assists his clients on how the work through the trying times and reach the best result for their needs.

Mr. Hopper graduated with his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University in 1993. The following year, Kevin moved to Raleigh in and opened his own practice. He has since practiced at all trial levels in North Carolina in Wake County (and surrounding counties), where he maintains a trial practice with a primary focus in family law and civil litigation. He has extensive experience in complex child custody and support cases, to include matters involving adoption, children with special needs, and/or same-sex parents; alimony and post-separation support, as well as equitable distribution.

While being focused on a trial practice for the past 26 years, Kevin believes that the sooner in the process a resolution may be reached the better it is for the parties to reach some closure. Because of this trial practice and his understanding of likely outcomes, Kevin is able to immediately engage in case resolution using alternate dispute resolution procedures. He does recommend, where appropriate, engaging in mediation before filing suit. However, if the matter cannot be resolved without filing suit, then he will recommend moving to the litigation process, whether through trial or arbitration, where he will be a fearsome advocate for you.

I have always had extremely pleasing interactions with every staff member at Hopper Law Firm. They are ready to help, friendly and cooperative even in the worst of situations. Unfortunately, I have had several instances of traffic violations and they always turn an extremely bad situation into a good one.
