Working with this attorney is a waist of time for taking care of estate for a loved one who has passed. He doesn’t listen to anything that is told to him. Rarely returns phone calls of the executor of the estate in a timely manner and he treats clients who use Legal shield like they are second class citizens. My advice is to never higher him or anyone from this law firm for even little legal issues as well.
Hiring this company was a nightmare. I was given poor advice, not informed that my claim wasn't eligible for legal expenses, padded costs and overworked a virtually meritless case to the tune of nearly $14,000. Furthermore, the law firm did not follow a basic State of Oregon court reporting procedure whereby, no record of the case exists naming the defendant with the CCB. In the end, I wound up with a fraction of what the defendant originally - some full year previously. I could have one double in small claims court, pro se. When I contacted the law firm to discuss my concerns I was very violently verbally abused replete with personal character attacks by one of the attorneys. In hindsight, I would not wish this catastrophe on my worst enemy. What a racket.
Hired Lawyer from Kivel and Howard He ended up starting up at new firm and we were given option to either keep them or stay with our lawyer? we choose to keep lawyer that was working on are case.Case settled for large sum and low and behold somehow they felt entitled to share in proceeds and lawyer fees without really doing anything? They give lawyers in Portland bad name. Our lawyer was very honest and hard working and Kivel and Howard simply trying to steal his thunder and money.
