After a successful 20 year corporate career, I recently decided to embark on a promising franchise. So my wife, Jilleen, and I hired this law firm to do lease reviews for a franchise that we bought into. We were recommended this law firm by our commercial real estate agent. We were notified that the charge for a lease review would be 4k flat fee. Compared to others this was expensive but we chose to move forward with them given the recommendation. We gave them the first 4k for our initial location lease review which is still ongoing and is on the second round of lease negotiations with the legal team from the landlords side. We hired this law firm again to do our next location at another 4k lease review. The review was presented to the landlord and literally a day or two later we heard back from the landlord that they had chosen to go with a different tenant.
