Andrew is honest, hard working and highly competent...he is viewed as an extension of our team. He works diligently to develop an IP strategy that supports our company's vision. His firms innovative fixed pricing on patents is refreshing. Andrew is responsive and with over 15 patents filed, he has always met our deadlines.

1 star. My experience was poor communication during a time-sensitive patent prosecution matter, including confusion over USPTO Office Action updates, billing, RCE strategy, and transition handling. I ultimately lost confidence in the firm’s responsiveness and client communication at a critical stage.

Once you sign their contract, prepare to beg. The first draft deadline for the contracted non-provisional patent application was catastrophically missed. The reason? The lawyer the RLG outsourced my application to, who lived in another state, missed the initial deadline and then went on vacation. He then slow-walked the draft reviews and ran out the clock until the filing deadline (a classic fixed-fee lawyer move). No problem for RLG, as they’ll happily file your application in an unfinished state with more typos and mislabeled figures than a third grader’s paper. I begged them to fix it and was ignored. Some associate in Colorado then called to collect the rest of their fee, unaware the application wasn’t complete. I begged the RLG to finish the application himself, but was ignored. I begged again, and 45 days later, I received a partial response that addressed only a fraction of the necessary work. Years later and $1000's of dollars wasted and no resolution from the RLG. AVOID.

What I will do here is tell you my experience and I like you to judge for yourself if you should use the Rapacke, Law Group . I have over 7 patents, my attorney retired so I needed a new patent attorney. I paid for a prior art patent search with The Rapacke Law Group. They came back with three publications but no patents, but the publication had references from the USPTO examiner so I asked for those and what do I get. They asked me to pay an additional $1000 for the examiner's references. I paid them to "perform a prior art search and prepare a prior art search report which includes a detailed explanation of the most relevant prior art that may affect the patent-ability of your invention and various embodiments." I would say those references could affect the patent-ability of my product. You can decide if you want to use this Law Group. With 7 patents never had this happen. Then they tell me I have a 90% chance of getting a patent. Asked for additional money to file the patent without

RAPACKE patent law office I have more than 30 years experience with invent and register patent worldwide and from all type. I'm not sure about their professionality and technical knowledge, but be CAREFULE from their chargers, since they change their quotation even after they got already the agreed payment ! On another notes, I got an email which intended to other RAPACKE customer includes, his idea and his quotation !!! Their response was: "Mistakes happens...) NOT recommend at all !!!

As a first time patent developer, I do not have a clear understanding of the steps to organize a patent, but not only has the law group NOT smoothly, or otherwise guided me through this process, they have not carried out any of the actions indicated in the initial consultation. I have not been referred to any specialist, nor has a prior arts search been provided. If this has not been done, because it requires a separate fee, that has not been communicated to me. If you are hoping to pursue a patent, do as much research as you can prior to engaging with this firm. My unfortunate experience has proven, they will not walk every client through the process. When you engage, have your documents in order to ensure your patent application adequately represents your idea. I’ve gathered that correspondence translates to money, so do not expect any pro bono communication to quell your anxiety throughout the process.

Hired Law Firm

Payments were made for services not rendered, which caused us personal damages and additional monies. We had to pay an outside law firm $12,000 to perform work on behalf of the Rapacke Law Firm to which they agreed to do in the first place. The Rapacke Law Firm then refused to use the documents provided and then refused to file any form of the document even after being reviewed and edited by their own lawyers personally. We spent most of our time arguing and trying to communicate with them.

The statements made above are wholly untrue and misleading. Our firm requested payment solely for services that were rendered and agreed upon. We take great pride in communicating efficiently and strive to provide excellent service in every situation.
