Rothman Gordon is a Pittsburgh-based law firm that has been advocating for its clients’ interests since 1954. Rothman Gordon has created a suite of services for individuals, organizations, and closely-held and family businesses.

Based in Pittsburgh since 1954, Rothman Gordon is a full-service law firm that represents clients throughout Western Pennsylvania. With nearly 30 attorneys on staff, we are able to serve clients in a variety of practice areas including business and corporate law; estate planning; commercial real estate; construction law; white collar criminal law; oil and gas for landowners; alternative dispute resolution; workers’ compensation and Social Security disability and more. We are small enough to provide clients with personalized attention and big enough to provide them with a specialized, sophisticated level of legal service. As a longstanding member of the community, we treat our clients like our neighbors and want to be a positive force in our city. We treat clients with respect, listening to questions and concerns, asking about goals and working toward a legal plan that protects and furthers their interests. We had been putting off our Estate Planning since it seemed like a confusing and lengthy process. Our experience with Doug Denardo, who was referred to us, was anything but that. He guided and educated us through the process and directed us only to the documents that made sense for our situation.

He didn't listen to our advice on how the other side would react. He regularly ignored it and told us there was a 'process' to follow. When he was out 'following process', the other side liquidated assets, filed bankrupty and sold the property that we were suing over rendering the debt they owed us ($500,000) uncollectible. We did more legal research than Bob Galanter did!!!!!

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.

• Notable: This rating indicates that the lawyer has been recognized by a large number of their peers for strong ethical standards.

Lawyers who have received peer reviews after 2009 will display more detailed information, including practice areas, summary ratings, detailed numeric ratings and written feedback (if available). Details for individual reviews received before 2009 are not displayed.
