The firm was established in Palm Springs in 1953 by Thurman Arnold, Jr. TW Arnold joined the practice in 1982. TW Arnold is a Fifth Generation Attorney; his grandfather established the prestigious firm of Arnold & Porter in Washington, D.C., in 1948. Our practice exclusively relates to family law, and includes protecting its elder members.
Thurman lives and breathes family law. I have been a practicing litigator for over 20 years and I consider Thurman like a Scientist of California Law. He is the only family lawyer I refer to in the Coachella Valley. He approaches his work with intellect, ingenuity and energy, and has been an inspiration to me as a lawyer.
I found Thurman W. Arnold III and his entire staff to be hard working, diligent, responsive, and willing to do what it takes to answer all my questions, put me at ease, and get the job done. I am in the middle of a complicated divorce from a husband who is fighting me on every issue. I just had my first court date, after my husband had managed to drag his feet in submitting information. Having had to engage legal representation in the unfortunate situation of 2 divorces in 10 years, the latter as the direct result of a protracted 5+ year business lawsuit, I have experienced a number lawyers in these matters. When my divorce went to trial, it became imperative for me to hire an attorney. I live in Georgia, so I had to do over the phone consultations. When I spoke with Mr. Arnold, it jus "felt right" and I retained him FIVE DAYS before trial. I arrived in CA the day 2 days before trial and he and his staff came in on Sunday to prepare. Mr Arnold accepted to represent me after a prior attorney's mal-practice and non-practice left me hanging with a merit-less 'Motion to Compel' in a Family Law divorce proceeding. No other lawyer in our area would accept my case because of the craziness of opposing counsel.
