DO NOT HIRE HIM!!! Refused to meet with me, resumed to print out or present any of the medical information I had prepared and then let me without any support when I put put on the stand and bullied me into accepting the other parties offer when it left me and my child and a great disadvantage.
Kevin Easley was our court appointed GAL. All he worried about was racking up a huge bill. It was a contested divorce, so the petitioner and her attorney followed the playback of false allegations to get protection orders and keep the kids from the other parent. Four criminal investigations for abuse and several DFS visits and the children's counselors all concluded the same thing. That the petitioner and her parents were the cause of the children's anger, recommend removing children from petitioner and placing them in defendants home. The children complained about the abuse they were going through, medical reports backed it up, all the evidence was there. However like so many other reviews, he did nothing. This causes frustration and once you question him or any of his staff they become belligerent. He does not care about kids, families, or anything but himself. If he is appointed your GAL immediately request to have him removed. 5 star reviews are from friends and family.
He does not deserve any stars at all, actually. Unfortunately, that's not an option. Be very careful if considering hiring Joshua Roberts. He demands money, money, money and does nothing, nothing, nothing. Check out his other reviews online. I gave him $24,000.00 and he did nothing of value in representing me. He eventually withdrew from my case without reason or warning. Shortly thereafter he told me that the $24k retainer was used up. There was absolutely no way. I demanded a refund and he refused, saying "That's the nature of the business." I have hired attorneys before who have done a fantastic job and ripping people off was certainly not the "nature" of their businesses. He actually had the gumption to tell me I needed to pay him more money. Once he withdrew, I scrambled and tried to raise the money to find a legitimate attorney that could actually help me defend my position. I was unable to afford getting a different attorney, had to finish the case by trying desperately to defe
Kevin would get 0 stars if that was an option. Kevin was the GAL in a custody battle in which he let his own personal bias persuade his recommendation to the judge rather than look at the facts in the case, actually listen to the children and most important of all listen to the expert professionals' recommendations that were working with the children on a weekly basis. He ignored police reports, medical reports, DFS investigations and chose to believe lies after lies after lies, with absolutely no proof to substantiate the lies. If he is appointed GAL for your custody battle, I highly recommend you asking for a different GAL.

I hired Mr. Hazelrigg to handle my divorce and child custody issues. As soon as my divorce was finalized, there were still custody issues between me and my daughter's father and he removed himself from my case. Now less than 2 months after my divorce is finalized, I am seeking new representation to have my custody arraignment changed due to child abuse while my 18 month old baby is in her father's care.
