Mr. Roberts (and the entire firm) helped me through a very stressful divorce, and were there with me every step of the way to provide their expert advice and guidance. They're very responsive, were always patient with me when I asked questions or needed clarification, and always made sure I understood what was going on before acting on my behalf. If you want your expectations lowered go meet with many of the other lawyers out there but if you want to formulate a plan to fight for what you believe in, then hire David Roberts. After deciding to fire my first lawyer, I met with many others before hiring David Roberts. My case was a divorce after 11 years of marriage and 2 kids. As an active Father, my goal was to keep my kids 80% of the time and pay no alimony based on the fact that my wife had her own career, retirement plan and health insurance. I kept being told by all the other lawyers I met with that I needed to lower my expectations. They kept telling me there was no way I would get more than 50% with my kids and I would have to pay alimony because I made almost 3 times as much as my wife. When I met with Mr. Roberts he told me that it would be very hard to get what I wanted and that we would need to formulate a plan to try and make it work. Mr Roberts put together a case plan we followed it and we won!

David and his team were fantastic! Not only were they incredibly cognizant of my specific situation, they were great at anticipating my needs. I hired Mr. Roberts to represent me in a disillusionment of marriage. It should have been a simple process, but the other party had no desire for simplicity. We hired The Roberts Law firm for child custody case. We started the process of going for temporary custody as both my sons mom and I were moving from where my son was born. David was extremely organized and understood the case and what we were looking for. We won the temporary custody case, where I believed helped when we went to mediation. David helped get us through the mediation process and drawing up the documents while making sure I was getting what I should in the best interest in my son. Excited to have an amazing Xmas gift of getting majority custody for my son!

Mr Roberts is very knowledgeable of Family Law. Anytime I had a question, I received a prompt response from either Mr. Roberts or someone from his firm. Mr. Roberts always called the day before a hearing or trial to see if I had any questions and to discuss concerns. The paralegal that works with Roberts Family Law, Lauren, is amazing! She understands the difficult time you are going through and helps in any way she can by providing information, promptly responds and sometimes just listens.

While Mr. Roberts demonstrates strong legal knowledge, I cannot recommend him to anyone seeking compassionate or transparent legal services. Over 15 months, my case was delayed four times, resulting in legal fees exceeding $120,000—nearly $50,000 more than his initial estimate. These costs included $44,000 for expert witnesses he insisted I retain and $15,000 in trial expenses. Despite my concerns about costs, Mr. Roberts pressured me into avoidable delays and charged excessive rates for secretarial, paralegal, and attorney work, much of which was unnecessary or duplicative. Mr. Roberts’ conduct was often unprofessional, accusing me of using my grandmother’s death to reduce fees, suggesting I "needed therapy," and threatening to withdraw if payments were not made. Ultimately, he withdrew just 10 minutes before a key hearing, leaving me unrepresented and without promised financial relief. Instead of an advocate in my time of need, I felt disrespected and financially exploited.
