I had an excellent experience working with attorney James Bitner, who practices residential real estate law in Northern Virginia. He was professional, attentive, and took the time to fully understand the issue I was facing with my condo closing process. I truly appreciated how patiently he listened and offered a free 30-minute consultation, during which he provided clear, actionable steps that helped me resolve the matter efficiently. He even took the initiative to call my selling agent directly and advised her on a few necessary actions that were key to resolving the closing issue. His guidance made a stressful situation much more manageable. I highly recommend Mr. Bitner to anyone in need of reliable and knowledgeable legal support in real estate matters.
I had the pleasure of talking with Jim Bitner about a personal matter regarding my home, I can confidently say that he is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced professionals I have encountered in the real estate industry. I can assure you; he exceeded my expectations. He has a deep understanding of the complexities involved in real estate law and advised me on what I should do to resolve my problem. He gave me expert, clear, and honest advice; however, it was not just his expertise that I appreciated, it was his genuine commitment to providing me with as many options as possible, and that I was fully informed. As a Realtor myself, I look to provide the best service for my clients and often, we have issues that specifically require legal counsel. I was so impressed that I have decided to work with him for all of my future settlements and contracts. It’s rare to find someone who is well-inform,kind, and professional, and these qualities are reflected in every aspect of Jim's work
I have known Mr. Jim Bitner for many years during which he has handled several cases for me. Any time I had a legal question or needed a referral or any kind of legal issue, Mr. Bitner was available and helpful. He is friendly and understanding and I have always been happy with his work.
Jim Bitner is the BEST attorney. Stop looking! I was referred to Jim by another attorney for a refinance and now Jim Bitner has been my attorney for 7 years. I'm a doctor and the qualities that Jim possesses are the ones that I value most in people. He is honest, hardworking, extremely knowledgeable, forthright, and truly, truly cares about his clients. He will always go the extra mile to make himself available for his clients and listens thoughtfully to give the best path forward. He is the guiding light for any situation and you never will feel like a burden going to Jim, whether it be for real estate or otherwise. Additionally, his staff is so sweet! It's honestly an absolute joy when I have a legal question or need legal assistance because Jim and his staff treat you like family. You will never find a better attorney. Never.
Some years ago my family and I engaged the Real Estate settlement services of Mr. James Bitner. We were extremely pleased with his professionalism and accuracy in all matters pertaining to our settlement at the time. Recently, I again called on Mr. Bitner for help settling a complicated estate concern. He talked with me at length, giving me very good information, and then referred me to an attorney who could settle the matter I had presented. I found that Mr. Bitner was quite kind, compassionate and gave freely of his time. My family and I highly recommend the practice of Mr. James Bitner.
Jim helped us to a FSBO. He was great at explaining everything. It was very challenging and if were not for Jim it might not have closed. He has great patience and really trys to understand what people need. I would recommend him to anyone needing help with Real Estate.

OMG❣️What a knowledgeable and personable lawyer. Absolutely great at explaining legalese, presented through great examples that reinforced what he was explaining. He was so helpful that he even answered questions not pertaining to the business at hand.

Hired Law Firm
I've known Jim Bitner for 16 years. He represented a teenage relative in court and got the charge dropped but contacted her afterward to gently urge her to clean up her act, which she did. He has also written legal documents for me, and provided phone consults to her and me several times. He has enormous integrity and kindness as well as the requisite knowledge and professionalism.
I chose Mr. Bitner not only because of his high ratings and excellent reviews, but also because he took the most time with me on the phone, patiently explaining the home sale process from a practical and a legal point of view. He has the highest moral and ethical standards, striving to be fair so that all parties feel secure that the transaction finishes as a win-win. His client response time is quick, his communication clear, and his rates and billing practices are surprisingly reasonable.
Martindale-Hubbell® Client Review Ratings™ display reviews submitted by individuals who have either hired or consulted the lawyers or law firms.
The Client Review Rating score is determined through the aggregation of validated responses. People who submit reviews are either individuals who consulted with the lawyer/law firm or who hired the lawyer/law firm and want to share their experience of that lawyer or law firm with other potential clients. Reviewers can be anyone who consults or hires a lawyer including in-house counsel, corporate executives, small business owners, and private individuals.
Martindale-Hubbell validates that a reviewer is a person with a valid email address. As part of the review process, respondents must affirm that they have had an initial consultation, are currently a client or have been a client of the lawyer or law firm identified, although Martindale-Hubbell cannot confirm the lawyer/client relationship as it is often confidential. The content of the responses is entirely from reviewers.

Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
