Since its inception in 1974, Kazan, McClain, Satterley & Greenwood has specialized in representing plaintiffs with catastrophic injuries arising from exposure to asbestos and other toxic chemicals. Many of its clients have been and are victims of terminal cancer, including lung cancer and mesothelioma, a cancer whose only known cause is exposure to asbestos. The contexts in which these cases arise include products liability, premises liability, negligent supervision and general negligence.

The firm has a national asbestos practice, was class counsel for plaintiffs in the Fibreboard Global Settlement Litigation (Ahearn), a lead counsel for objectors in Georgine (CCR Class Action), and has served as counsel on various asbestos bankruptcy victims creditors committees in New York, New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Florida, Illinois, Wisconsin and Delaware.

Each of the partners of Kazan, McClain, Satterley & Greenwood has had extensive trial experience, as have a number of its associates.
