As this was my first experience in the criminal court system I was very apprehensive about what was going to happen to me. At my arraignment Mike took the time to introduce himself and stood with me when I appeared. He told me he did it as a courtesy and that I was not obligated to hire him. Mike Murray has been an excellent attorney that I hired for a family member's case. He represented us thoroughly and successfully in a case spanning nearly 23 months. His efforts at getting damaging evidence suppressed was pivotal in having a successful bench trial with the judge. Mr. Murray is as good as they come. In my opinion every lawyer should strive to be like him. Very honest, straight forward and answered all of my questions during my cases. Mr. Murray successfully defended my case in which I was charged on A&B, Domestic violence, order and then again on a Magistrate Hearing complaint for "abuse" of a prevention order . As someone with a clean record who's not familiar with the court system at all it was a nerve-racking experience as I had no idea of what the outcome might be, If I was going to lose my job, go to prison due to these charges, etc. Mr. Murray did an amazing job both times I hired him, preparing a great legal defense strategy which resulted victory
Initially I was unsure if I had hired the right lawyer. He left all the decisions up to me, which I now know is in the best interest of the client. For example, it you lost the case, you would immediately blame your attorney rather than yourself. However, after many conversations about how to proceed, I chose a bench trial. 2 witnesses showed for the prosecution, 0 for me. Yet, I believe that Mike questioned these witnesses to the point where they wished they hadn't come. We WON the OUI case!!!
