As of year ago my physical and mental health were trying to keep pace at a job just like other jobs before but this time after I had been let go I really felt strongly about pursuing better health. In the process Greeman and Toomey kept in good communication with me. We did calls and email which was so nice versus driving, parking etc. I worked with Natalie several times. To anyone looking into applying: The process of getting approved is designed to be a long, invalidating, confusing process bc the SSA is trying to get you to give up so they don’t have to pay out. Prepare for it to take years. And I wish you the best of luck. And get an attorney or they won’t take you seriously. Trust me. James’ office emailed me a summary of what the judge would be seeing the night before my hearing. They did an excellent job of weeding out my medical info from over 1500 pages of paper trail. He called after it sent to make sure I’d seen it and to reassure me we had a solid case and tell me what he knew of the judge. He prepared me with how to speak with the judge and what to emphasize, and to not be embarrassed to share my experience because it’s a medical issue. He was very compassionate and even shared some medical advice he’s picked up he thought might be helpful. I really felt like I had someone in my corner. Thank you, James.
