About David Joseph Barry, Esq.

Since founding the Mineola law firm Collins Gann McCloskey & Barry, David has been a tireless advocate on behalf of injury victims to get them the financial compensation they deserve.

Throughout his legal career, David Barry has prosecuted complex civil and criminal cases in courthouses all over New York State. As a former Assistant District Attorney, David handled the prosecution of all types of criminal cases, and successfully conducted numerous trials to verdict. Upon entering private practice, David has focused on representing accident victims in complex personal injury cases. As a litigation associate for the Manhattan law firm of Weitz & Luxenberg, David was responsible for the recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars for his injured clients and their families.

David has received numerous honors during his legal career. Currently he serves on the Board of Directors of the Nassau County Bar Association, the country’s largest suburban lawyer’s association. He also serves as Vice-Chair of the Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Committee at the Nassau County Bar Association.

Most recently, Martindale-Hubbell® has rated David as a “Platinum Client Champion” and “AV Preeminent™” in the fields of Personal Injury, Torts and Toxic Torts—these most prestigious awards signify that David has reached the highest level of professional excellence.

If anybody were able to open up a dictionary and search for the definition of professionalism, don't be surprised to see David Barry's picture right beside it. A marksman within his field of expertise, David was able to pinpoint the target areas within my case to make the transition of a difficult outcome to an easy ride off into the sunset. David's nonchalant approach to hectic scenarios is a quality that every lawyer must have to assure total comfortability amongst their clients

Being the young dumb kid I am, I had gotten into some trouble with the law and had no one to turn to or any idea how I was going to fight this. I met Mr. David Barry on one of my court dates and knew he was the one to help me get out of this mess I created for myself.
