You'll be charged $50 to $75 per e-mail you send to your lawyer -- even if the e-mail is answering a question she has for you. They also will charge you $40 for a meeting that THEIR staff had about your case, and we're talking going over very simple items.

very slow response to needs. over charged for services. final cost over 3 times estimate. several weeks went by with no responses. duplicated efforts for double billing. charged excessive amounts for reviewing 2 sentence emails.
This firm is so passive and doesn't communicate with their clients very well. I was told my demand letter for my personal injury case would be finished by mid October. It was not completed until the end of February. The only reason it was completed was I kept emailing them and asking. I have got two emails that were to the effect of "dont call me we will call you" They let my case go to the very last day it could before the statue of limitations expired.

I just wanted a divorce and custody of my children. 8k later and I had less custody, and the divorce was no closer than when I started. Billing issues, unresponsiveness, unclear communications, and a tendency to try to negotiate everything out beforehand with the other side left me with no justice and huge bills. Can not in good conscience recommend this firm to anyone. At least Ms. Owens zeroed out my bill when I let her go. That's about all I can say for her. Top priced lawyer, low service.
Hired Mary Berkeley Owens years ago for a lawsuit. She forgot to put something in the paperwork for court course and legal fees. After I won the case he handed me of the bill and I walked away with nothing because of her mistake I had to pay
Julie Cillo didn’t care about me, my case or my children. After a year, 50K in lawyers fees, not even a separation agreement, I was asked to replenish my retainer in the sum of 15K. When I wasn’t able to come up with the money, she dumped me. I had to declare bankruptcy because of her over billing and failure to represent.
