Steve handled my case in a professional and timely manner. He has a no-non sense approach to issues so be prepared to hear things from him that you need not want. Steve completely turned my case around and through mediation I recieved everything I asked for and more.

I would highly recommend Mr. Kaufman to anyone looking for a divorce attorney. He is extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain the entire process to me clearly and patiently. All of the answers he gave me in regards to my divorce options indicate that he is a fair attorney. The office staff is very kind and helpful, and they always answer the phone. Any email I sent was answered on the same day; typically within an hour, and I was very impressed with that. Once we were in court, Mr. Kaufman again walked me through the process step by step and that eased my anxiety. There is not enough space for me to express my gratitude for my attorney Steve Kaufman. I tend to ramble and my communications are usually long. Eventually Steve would ask me to keep it short and to the point which is a testament to how well he got to know his client. I got divorced in 2008 and steve was not my attorney who handled my divorce. Only good if you want to go to mediation. Does not go to trial if not settled in mediation. You would have to hire another attorney for that purpose.

He only answered my message after I called about 3 times. He was slow with the paper work. I know he took his time so he could charge me more.

He was rude and arrogant.I will NOT go back to him.

Possibly the laziest attorney I ever had to deal with, and I've spent a lot on attorneys. Hired in July 2024, Kaufman performed an hour and a half worth of hearing, and took my $4.5k An evaluation was delivered to him 11/18/2024. Kaufman performed no actions, and achieved nothing from 11/18, when it was delivered to him, until 3/6/2025, allowing the relationship with my son to become deteriorated, despite my constant begging him to schedule a hearing, so I could see my son again, like normal. 5 months, no actions. Because I became frustrated he withdrew from my case Friday evening at 4pm when I had an emergency hearing scheduled for Monday morning at 9:30am- hanging me out to dry. When scrambling for a new attorney, I find he not only did nothing for months but also didnt file any compliance reports. Devastating. If you are a father fighting to see his son/daughter, absolutely keep looking this becuase man is an incompetent money hungry, lazy scumbag.

I retained Mr. Kaufman for Divorce purposes. The day that we went to court he never showed up. I was left alone in front of the judge and the other attorney! I had not been prepared for that. I would not recommend his services at all.
