About Bryan L. Salamone & Associates, P.C.

Long Island's Largest Family Law Firm Handles Divorce Your Way.

Bryan L. Salamone & Associates, P.C. welcomes clients who demand excellence. If you’re seeking a swift, inexpensive divorce from a cooperative spouse, we can ease you comfortably into the express lane. Our experience winning strong results in highly contested marriage dissolution cases encourages meaningful negotiations and serves as insurance for our clients if a fair settlement cannot be reached. Regardless of the forum, our Long Island divorce lawyers approach matters of property and child custody by focusing on our clients’ well-being during the divorce process and long after the marriage has been dissolved. Located in the heart of Long Island, our Melville firm features seasoned attorneys who thrive on helping clients achieve their goals.

For more than 30 years, our Long Island divorce firm has built a reputation for providing effective solutions in all types of family law matters. When spouses agree on key issues, we guide them through the uncontested divorce process. Should differences exist, our firm frequently utilizes mediation and other out-of-court options to finalize a resolution while minimizing conflict and delay. If a simple divorce isn’t possible, our trial attorneys are equipped to handle complicated matters involving finances and parental rights.

When you are facing the end of a marriage, working with an experienced Long Island divorce lawyer can help you understand your rights and navigate New York’s divorce laws. New York allows fault-based and no-fault divorces. Most couples today choose the no-fault option by citing an “irretrievable breakdown” of the marriage for at least six months. However, fault grounds still exist and may be relevant in certain cases, including cruel and inhuman treatment, abandonment for at least one year, or adultery.

To file in New York, parties must meet residency requirements. Generally, at least one spouse must have lived in the state for a continuous year before filing and have a connection to the marriage (such as being married in New York, having lived here as a married couple, or the cause of action arising in the state). Alternatively, if both spouses are New York residents when the case begins, no minimum duration is required. These rules apply equally across Nassau County and Suffolk County.

Bryan L. Salamone & Associates, P.C. provides personalize1d counsel to Long Island clients in divorces and other family law matters. You can call us for a free initial consultation or contact our office online.

The firm was sloppy in how they handled my business. After leaving a retainer I didn't hear back from them for months. Finally, I went to see what was going on only to find the original attorney had moved on and my cases were sitting dormant.

Hired Attorney Heather McGee

BAD lawyer, DO NOT HIRE!! Failed my family, bad work, overrated, overcharges, a scam at this rate. Never again hiring her. Be careful who you are going to pick as your representative because this was definitely not giving and now we have to suffer the consequences.

Hired Law Firm

Insulting. Dismissive. Was sent correspondence meant for other clients. Had to negotiate my own terms with ex. Once I did and it went to the attorneys, they somehow got me less. Made an already tough experience much worse than it needed to be.

Hired Attorney Heather McGee

I would like to say this had to be the worst experience with a lawyer I have ever had. Ms McGee was unreachable, unprofessional, and her billing contract should be illegal. Ms McGee did both a child custody and child support case for me. To start, the office billed me at a higher rate than agreed to. Upon further review, she bills every client 1 hour per court visit (which adds up to several hours a day of driving, not pro rated so watch out), and bills for “filing” at her rate not her paralegals rate. She ignored several of my emails, resulting in me having to fly to NY for an in person court hearing, which could have been avoided had she responded to my questions in a timely manner. When asked about this she stated “I am not your mother,” as if $7000 wasn’t enough money for her to reply to my questions via email in a professional manner. I would highly recommend that you take extreme caution before signing her retainer contract.

Hired Law Firm

Working with this firm was far more stressful and difficult than was necessary. The firm would REFUSE to appear in court (which was the next day!) after handing me an invoice for $2000.00! I had never seen the invoice prior to sitting in their office and was told to pay it or go to court the next day BY MYSELF! They charged $300.00 for every FORM letter that their admin. staff printed. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Hired Law Firm

I thought I hired Bryan Salamone and I was stuck with an associate that I didn't feel was competent.I never got answers to questions I asked.Had to call 3-4 times on the same question until I got an answer.Of course I was charged for all 4 phone calls.I was not their best interest in the case.My case went on for 2 years and everything was pushed off until the night before the trial where I forced to take a deal I did not want!
