About two months ago, a debt collection agency started harassing me based on outdated account information from a creditor. The debt collector would call me several times a day and leave a message, but she would not identify herself, her agency, nor the creditor. At the beginning I thought that the calls were scam calls, so I did not call her back. However, the calls persisted and increased in frequency. I talked to a couple of local attorneys, but they wouldn’t take my case. I searched the internet and found the website of Lemberg Law. I checked their BBB reviews and I learnt that they take cases similar to mine and they have an excellent record in handling them. About a week ago, Attorney Jody Burton informed me that they have reached a settlement with the debt collection agency. All in all, Lemberg Law were professional in handling my case from the beginning to end without charging me any costs and I did not even to appear in any court. I highly recommend Lemberg Law.
They acted quickly, accepted our case on contingency (so we're not out of pocket for any expenses), & obtained judgment in our favor. However, we had to call repeatedly to check on the status of our case, and we never received a copy of the judgment unless we finally asked them directly. So I would rate them high on action, but not on communication or follow-through with the client. Also, we have not received any assistance on collecting our judgment (which means they've not been paid either).
I had to constantly repeat information to them every time we spoke, twice I was told my case would be reviewed by an attorney and nothing has happened.
