I used Price Law Group to file my bankruptcy in 2006. Originally I filed Ch 13, but in 2010 became unable to meet the payment terms agreed upon in my 60 month plan due to loss of employment and filed for Ch 7 discharge. The whole process was as painless as it could be considering the circumstances. I'd just like to add that a gentleman named Mako was extremely helpful to me in the conversion to 7 in 2010.
Inexpensive service for a multitude or reasons
I was seen by a secretary in Torrance on a basically vacant floor in an office building. I thought it was strange not to see any lawyers or paralegals. The first time I spoke with or saw an attorney was on the day I had to go to court. I was granted my bankruptcy but am quite unsure if the judge ever spoke with the attorney, who told me to just sit & wait to be called. I never saw this man before court & he left before I did. That was strange.
They were very responsive and made me feel at ease and humanized me. I wasn't just another flake. They spoke to me with respect and that goes a long way when times are really tough.
I just had a hard time keeping in contact with them. I also have had issues since with creditors harassing me and I have called to have them deal with it.
They should hire more people.
Stuart Price and Price Law Group were awful. They were disorganized and extremely ineffective. They kept adding on costs throughout the bankruptcy process that we were not aware were going to be added on to the already high price they were charging. We continued to have issues and problems arise even after the bankruptcy was complete. If you are reading this, cross Stuart Price and the Price Law Group off your list of potential lawyers to use and continue your search for a quality attorney.
They do the bare minimum services. If there is anything special needed done they resist doing it unless paid more. Even some things covered in the bankruptcy. Was very disappointed with the services and I ended up finishing the bankruptcy representing myself.
