I owned a timeshare that I could not cancel after I found out the “points” I was sold would not allow me to stay a week anywhere. That is if I could even find reservations which were not available even a year in advance. I wanted to get out of my contract because it was more like a donation every month than a vacation club. After I had bought a Timeshare in Las Vegas, I quickly regretted my decision and sent in my letter of cancellation within the 5-day "cooling period" without using certified mail. After the 5-days had passed, I realized my mistake and attempted to call the resort to inquire about it (which they hadn't received). I began preparing to take action if need be.
