Doan Law Group is a law firm established in 1993 with an office in Laguna Hills, CA. At this office location, there are 6 lawyers practicing bankruptcy, bankruptcy chapter 7, bankruptcy chapter 13 and 14 other areas of law.
They have a payment plan which is helpful and providing a call log for creditors who harass their clients makes me feel that they are on my side in this situation.
Great Lawyers at this firm,they are very nice and they do make sure that you understand the whole process and at the initial consultation they were helpful in helping us decide if filing for Bankruptcy is really what we wanted to do. However;the attorney was not very good at returning phone calls once he filed the paperwork, but he did eventually return our calls.Overall the law firm was good to us and treated us with respect and so I would definitely use them again and I would highly recommend.
I was sold a service by a rep for the firm who misrepresented the service and now no longer works for the company. When i made them aware of the issue, they handled things very poorly and did not make me feel as though they had any interest in resolving the issue. In the end, I ended my dealings with them and hired another lawyer to handle my bankruptcy case. They only offered a partial refund even though i made them aware of what the rep "sold" me. I would NEVER deal with them again.
I retained Doan Law Firm in August of 2013. I completed all required documentation immediately & returned it immediately. I was contacted by Kevin Tang & had been in touch with him a few times. Then in November he told me there was a problem with filing the bankruptcy & I would need to speak with Greg Doan directly. I contacted him and as of 11/14 he was going to review my case. I have heard NOTHING. Very unhappy with the way this firm responds. I was the one always having to initiate contact.
Originally I was told that I qualified to file for bankruptcy. After paying my fees in full, I was told at the second interview that I did NOT qualify for BK. You cannot have a 2nd interview until the fees are paid in full. Of course, the atty said this my fault and although they did not work on my case (everything including notices are served via client) I was not given a refund of the fees paid. I still have not heard from the Escondido Office since my final payment made in Sept 2011.
