How can I start a business in the US while here working on a visa?

Reza Athari

This is a complicated question that will need personal consultation. If you are thinking about E-2 visa, $30,000 might be considered marginal if your business requires additional funds. Also be aware, H-1B visa does not give you ability to work for yourself.

If you are asking whether your marriage to someone from another country will affect your naturalization process, the answer is no. You can marry anyone you want, in any country you want and still apply for naturalization. Just remember to answer any questions regarding your marital status honestly.

Your cousin can petition for her fiance, but she must either be married to him first or file for a fiance visa and marry him when he enters the U.S. I strongly suggest that your cousin contact an experienced immigration attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding her situation. He/she would then be in a better position to analyze her case and advise her of her options.
