What is the procedure to invite someone who is not a US citizen, to the US for a visit?

Answered by attorney Alina Cruz (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at CruzLaw PA
There is not enough information to answer your question. What you seem to be referring to is a letter of invitation which is used for some countries but not others. Depending on which country she is coming from, she may or may not need a visa. Timing will also depend on which country she is coming from. There is never any guarantee that a non-citizen will be admitted into the United States. Good luck!

How do I send an invitation for my fiancé to visit me in the US without getting married here?

Answered by attorney Myron Russell Morales (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Quan Law Group, PLLC
Your invitation must demonstrate that he has such sufficient ties to Iran that he will not remain in the US. This will be quite a task if you have plans to eventually marry as that allows the officer to discount your claims and label him with immigrant intent. Such a finding could be problematic for your future marriage-based petition.
